Dear Melancholy

Dear melancholy
you fill my mind,
deranged moments
are easy to find.
My soul is weary,
my mask has faded
An air of melancholy surrounds me.

Creeping in,
seeping ever deep
into my bones.
Controlling my very
train of thought,
Surrounding my soul,
threatening to
swallow me whole.

Undressing my mind and ushers out words
I didn’t know I had in me.

Hypnotizing me effortlessly,
soon I will fall in love
with the feeling of
sadness.
